The Components
A variety of comfort layers is used to produce and create mattresses. The components making up all different comfort layers will proportionally sink in and compress under the weight and body shape of the user.
Compression is independent of the density. We can produce a high density foam very soft or the opposite, a low density foam very firm. All in-between combinations are possible. It is very important to note that the compression is related to comfort and not durability.

Bonnel coilsThis type of coil works vertically, meaning the movement is going from the top to the bottom. The more we exert a pressure toward the bottom, the more the coil compresses and offers a resistance, thus pushing back the pressure toward to top. It is the most common type of coil used on the market.
