The Components
A variety of comfort layers is used to produce and create mattresses. The components making up all different comfort layers will proportionally sink in and compress under the weight and body shape of the user.
Compression is independent of the density. We can produce a high density foam very soft or the opposite, a low density foam very firm. All in-between combinations are possible. It is very important to note that the compression is related to comfort and not durability.

Polyurethane foamPolyurethane foam molds perfectly the body contour. Its microstructure reacts immediately to each pressure point of the body parts, assuring a uniform support from head to toe. The foam provides the same comfort support, independent of its firmness. It reacts at the pressure received by an equivalent resistance. Firm foam will result in less sink in. Soft foam will result in better body contour sink in. But in both cases, the quality of the support is identical.
